Welcome!

We are Helen & Dave Mansfield and arrived in France in November 2002 and took over a village bar in the Vendee (dept 85) where we stayed until December 2006.

After deciding to move to the Dordogne we began thinking of an innovative business which would appeal to both the English and French alike.

After several weeks of thinking and talking, the concept of bringing fish and chips to the Dordogne won hands down. With that decided we went back to the UK where we purchased our trailer to sell the product and attended a course run by the "National Fishfriers Federation" in Leeds. Next on the agenda was to source the other necessary items, some from France and some delivered from the UK.

We now offer Cod, English battered sausages, Chunky chips, Mushy peas, Heinz beans, Curry sauce and all the condiments. And yes, it is Sarsons vinegar!

Since April 2007 the business has gone from strength to strength in all our venues and we now have customers regularly travelling 40 Km each way to enjoy our fish & chips..
